Be sure they can listen.
Be sure they can quickly articulate ideas.
Be sure they can adapt to all kinds of personalities.
Be sure they can deliver your script with ease.
Be sure they have taken time to read your company info/quiz them.
Be sure they are able to modify things in the event it is needed.

Take plenty of time asking all kinds of questions:

what would they do if someone is rude?
What would they do if they are put on a long hold?
What would they do if the phones/computers are not working?

etc
